MetaTrader 5 (MT5) is one of the most widely used trading platforms, offering powerful tools for both manual and automated trading. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to download, install, and set up MT5. By the end of this process, you’ll be ready to connect your broker account and set up your portfolio.
The first step to getting started with MetaTrader 5 (MT5) is downloading the platform. You have received the link from your broker or you can search in your Browser for “YourBrokersName MetaTrader Download”.
After downloading, click on the installation file and click “Next” to continue with the installation. After a few seconds, the installation is complete and all you need to do is click on “Finish”.
First you select the broker you have chosen and click “Next”. You can find it via the search area at Find your Company.
Enter your account number and password.
Check the server is correct. Your broker will tell you which server to use when you open an account.
Click Finish after following these steps.
Activate “Algo Trading” in the top bar, this allows the Expert Advisors to open and close positions.
A green arrow means “Algo Trading” is activated.
